Wind River Tai Chi Chuan

Sifu Jordan Misner and members of Wind River Tai Chi Chuan choreographed a wonderfully whimsical demonstration of a very old Yang style Tai Chi Chuan long form at the Chinese Health Day event hosted by the Confucius Institute of University of Arizona at the UA Campus.

The day was sunny and cheerful, as was the clever performance put on by Wind River. While the Tai Chi practicioners performed various segments of the ancient form, Dai Si Hing, Jason Hurford, playfully acted out the part of a curious panda bear intrigued by the actions of the Tai Chi players. Through his mischevious mirroring and investigations he begins to understand and learns how to follow the principles of Tai Chi Chuan.

This performance was a joy to capture and represented the personality of the oganization. It is clear that the teachers and the members of Wind River love their practice, with great pride and good humor.
